Maroubra SLSC introduce children to the competitive side of surf lifesaving as a means of developing, improving and maintaining their surf life saving skills and physical fitness.
Maroubra SLSC has a rich history in Surf Sports with many of our members having represented at state and national levels, including Olympics, World Championships and Commonwealth Games.

For those wanting to begin their surf life saving and/or compete at surf carnivals (including all water, all sand and all team events), they will need to complete a Preliminary Timed Competition Swim along with an Open Water Competition Evaluation Swim.
For those junior athletes wishing to compete at Major Championships (includes Branch Championships, State Championships and National Championships) they also require the following criteria to be met:
