Patrols
Welcome to another season patrolling Maroubra Beach. This Patrol web page and handbook will provide you with all of the significant dates for the season upon us, including the patrol roster for the entire season. Surf Rescue Certificate Holders need only attend those patrols which are indicated with SR next to them. If at anytime the roster changes, those members affected will be notified in advance. All members should be aware of the damage caused by over exposure to the sun. Appropriate UV protection measures should be adhered to whilst on patrol. You should also bring a bottle of water with you when on patrol. The Club is aware of the shortened period of time between patrols around the Christmas holiday period so please make sure that if you are going on holidays you find a substitute for any patrol that you may miss. In the case where a patrol is missed and you have not arranged a sub, you will be required to make up one patrol for every one that is missed. The Club will be asking you to do this before your next patrol. If the patrol is not made up before your next rostered patrol you will be required to make up two. Proficiencies this year will be done every Sunday in November as well as in your patrol groups. Your proficiency must be completed before 25th December. The Club thanks you for taking up the challenge to keep Maroubra Beach safe for the bathing public and remember that is why we have a Surf Club.
