Patrols & Lifesaving
Every member who actively involves themselves in patrolling Maroubra beach is serving the community in a myriad of ways, not only by keeping the community safe while on patrol but also by educating the community, nippers & parents about beach safety. The lifesaving section of Maroubra SLSC has gone from strength to strength over the past decade and now boasts one of the strongest lifesaving sections in the state. This has been achieved through the clubs strong development of its members. Encouraging them to continue to achieve various awards and find pathways to further develop their skills in the lifesaving movement. This success has been evident through the representation of our members at Branch, State and Australian Awards of Excellence.
Maroubra SLSC fulfils its Life Saving responsibilities in a variety of ways which includes our rostered patrols; water safety for Sunday nipper activities, training, water safety & IRB support for competition and other community events.
Life Saving is performed by our highly skilled and proficient Lifesavers who have graduated through our training and education programs.
