What we do
Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club is one of Australia’s first Lifesaving clubs and was established in on the 7th of November 1906. The Club has a proud tradition of providing state of the art lifesaving services for the community, and arguably has the greatest competitive history of any surf club in Australia.
We are focused on educating the children within our community, passing on surf knowledge and skills through our Nipper programme, that is run on Sunday mornings throughout the summer.
We also pride ourselves on being able to keep the general public safe by providing a beach that is patrolled through summer. To do this we rely on volunteer members to join us and become lifesavers, undertaking a range of awards and qualifications.
Maroubra Surf Lifesaving Club aims to provide the community with a safe aquatic and dry land environment and to ensure no lives are lost whilst lifesavers are on patrol at Maroubra Beach.
